Our U11 squad went on tour to Leicester and they had the most incredible time. Huge thank you to the amazing U11 coaches for organising such fantastic memories for these players and parents.

Here are some reports... Photo attached.

Jake Jones, U11 tourist.

“I really enjoyed my first rugby tour. The coaching with Leciesters Tigers and getting to meet the captain of Argentina was a great experience. Coach Nick came up with some games and tour rules along the way which were a lot of fun. I felt lucky to visit the Leicester players locker rooms and watch them warm up before the match. The game was also a lot of fun, especially as they beat Northampton. Thank you for an amazing tour. Jake”

Magnus Mowbray, U11 tourist:

I think the most spectacular thing about the rugby tour was the jaw dropping match of Leicester Tigers v Northampton Saints with an exciting win of 26-17. The thing that also hooked me in was the enjoyment of the stadium tour, letting us look around their changing rooms and we even got to watch them train on the sidelines. Although all of the things we did in the trip were amazing, they were my favourite.

We had SOOO much fun on our rugby tour. I loved the songs in the bus, the random blasts of the coach’s whistle, the beauty of the vest of shame, seeing the changing rooms, five England players and a world champion at the game, playing rugby while running through the streets, telling the traffic exactly who we were, bowling a spare, getting a huge birthday cake, a Leicester rugby ball and most of all – scoring two tries! Funniest moment: everyone trying to lie on the floor of the bus (there were too many of us).

Parent tourist:

Addendum from a parent: Lifetime memories were made this weekend. Rugby is a way of life and this weekend’s tour was an impressive example of the best that it offers our young team: camaraderie, teamwork, passion, effort, learning, tremendous fun and a win to top it off.  This was a fantastic way for the boys to connect with each other and to gel as a team.  A magnificent game setting, impressive hospitality from the Leicester organisation and a fantastic tour experience.  Deep thanks to our coaches whose hard work made it superlative fun for all!
